Saffery Champness, independent chartered accountants which has been established for over 150 years, recently underwent a full refurbishment project for one of its nine offices in the UK. Apton’s Colourline partitioning range was selected by northern suppliers, IMS Office Fitting and Design, to give a sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing appearance to the office space that tied in with its cosmopolitan location at Bruntwood’s City Tower.

Situated on the 22nd floor in the city’s tallest available offices, boasting 360 degree views of the North West, both companies had the modern, ideal setting to transform 1,000 square metres of bespoke office accommodation for the customer. Using white partitioning to compliment IMS’ interior fittings, it has given the customer a comfortable and simplistic working environment.

Danny Jackson, Business Development Manager for Apton Partitioning’s Northern regions, explains: “The main purpose of the Colourline range for this particular project was for speed of installation. Everything ran very smoothly, with no problems fitting the partitioning as our panels are pre-decorated and fitted with blinds and windows.

“This was the first time IMS’ on-site staff installed our products after joining forces recently, and they were able to do it effectively and efficiently, supporting the client’s needs of a quick finishing time. This has been a great stepping stone in our new relationship with IMS and we hope this bond will help to make future projects just as successful.”

City Tower’s dramatic and modern design has complimented the chic image of Saffery Champness’ new luxury office space, which benefits from individually controlled air conditioning, perimeter cable management system, LG3 lighting and 24-hour security access.

The customer will benefit from The Gardens, the largest green public space benefiting from £100 million investment in extensive landscaping, as a serene setting for their business. The City Tower’s predominant entrance, The Mall, helps to add the wow factor, welcoming 3,000 visitors each day and featuring glazed ceilings and the largest media screen outside of London.

Martin Ellison, Managing Director for IMS, explains: “The beautiful and cosmopolitan setting of Saffery Champness’ new Manchester offices has given us a platform to create a stunning yet understated environment for their business. Using Apton’s Colourline partitioning has demonstrated that value for money products can look visually attractive.
